"Branché" or "hype", meaning in French, trendy super-cool. This reflected by the completely blasé manager, in reaction to my request to photograph the place. Her only comment, "Please don't photograph the workers", being part of the Parisian culture of privacy. This also being reflected by the clientèle all under age thirty from different cultural backgrounds... French is spoken here but in innumerable accents, including the Chinese and Japanese accents of the wait-staff. I believe the ownership is Taiwanese, but the royal coolness "we" was too busy to be asked...
